The way I see it…

I’ve spent most of my life looking at people. Really looking at them.

For over 30 years, I photographed celebrities for international magazines, and my job was to notice everything. The most flattering light. Someone’s face, shape and proportions. That moment of ease in their demeanour. The Hair, makeup and, always, the clothes.

Not simply beautiful clothes, but the right clothes for the person wearing them.

I learned very early on that when someone feels good in what they’re wearing, everything changes. They stand differently. They move differently. They become more confident. That’s the power of great style.

Styling became part of my work almost without me realising it.

Early in my magazine career, I met Olivia Newton-John and began styling her as well as photographing her. What started quite naturally became part of a creative relationship that lasted for decades.

Over the years, understanding what makes someone look and feel their best simply became instinctive.

Now, I’m reshuffling the board.

For most of my career, photography occupied the biggest square. Styling and jewelry design were always there too, sometimes quietly in the background, sometimes very much part of the work.

Now, styling moves to the front.

Photography, jewelry and everything I’ve learned from a lifetime of looking at people comes with me. It doesn’t feel like starting something new. It feels like putting something that has always been there exactly where it belongs.

For me, great style has never been about having more clothes. It’s about having the right clothes.

I want to open a wardrobe and see pieces that fit beautifully, work together and make you feel good when you put them on. I’m a little relentless about fit. The right jacket, trouser length, neckline or proportion can completely change how something looks — and how you feel wearing it.

And I’m a great believer in working with what you already have. Sometimes the best thing in your wardrobe is already there; it just needs altering, wearing differently or putting with something you hadn’t thought of before. Sometimes it simply needs a different set of eyes.

I want to understand how you live, what you love, what you’re comfortable in and what isn’t quite working. Then we build from there — finding the clothes and proportions that flatter you, perhaps trying something you wouldn’t have chosen for yourself, and creating a wardrobe that feels polished without looking as though you tried too hard.

Clothes that work for your actual life and still feel completely like you — perhaps a slightly more adventurous you.

Because we all have that one piece we reach for when we want to feel really good.

What if your whole wardrobe felt like that?
